I currently reside in Pune, India, where I am actively involved in ministry and volunteer work. I feel led to share how the grace and love of God completely transformed my life—and how you might be able to partner with me in this journey.

In 2015, I encountered the mercy of God in a life-changing way. Before that, I lived a broken life—caught in addiction, lost in drugs, and trapped in a careless lifestyle. I had no purpose, no direction, and no peace. One day, I overdosed on drugs. By all human logic, I should have died. But God had different plans for my life.

By His unmerited grace, He rescued me—not only from death but from the chains of sin and darkness. That day marked a new beginning. I encountered the love of Jesus Christ, and my life was never the same.

Since then, God has placed in my heart a burning desire to serve Him. Today, I serve as an evangelist, called to bring the Gospel to the lost, the broken, and the hopeless—because I know exactly what it means to be in that place. My mission is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ, to reach souls who feel far from God, and to remind them that no one is too far gone for His grace.

As I continue in full-time ministry, I am currently in need of monthly support of $250 USD to cover basic personal and ministry-related expenses (food, transportation, communication, and daily living). Sebastian Donbosco Moktan—known affectionately as Sabby—has dedicated nearly a decade to serving underprivileged children and vulnerable communities through education and social work.

Nearly 2 years as an educator with CORe, focusing on teaching underprivileged children. About 7 years of experience as a social worker and teacher in the Red Light Area, working with the Pune Faith Community Church since 2010. Independently taught underprivileged children in Mohamadwadi, Pune for one year.

Worked as an educationist at Sparsh NGO in Uruli Kanchan from 2020 to 2021.

Currently engaged as a social worker and educator for nearly a year, focusing on improving the lives of Banjaras kids and women, helping families and communities to thrive.

Personal Background:
Sabby hails from Sikkim in northeast India and is the tenth of twelve siblings. His father served in the Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army but passed away in 1998. Following this loss, his family relocated to Pune, Maharashtra, where Sabby completed his education.

After a decade in the corporate sector, Sabby followed his passion for community development, music, and education—committing himself to uplift marginalized groups through dedicated social service.

He currently resides in Pune with his mother, sister, and siblings.

I currently serve as an LKG and UKG class teacher at Arise N Shine Preschool. When I first joined, I had no prior teaching experience and had never worked in a school before. But the founder of Arise N Shine saw potential in me, encouraged me to begin this journey, and told me, “Just give one year—doors will open.”

That one year changed my life.

What began as a job became a calling. The school welcomed me like family. With love, patience, and guidance, I’ve learned not only how to teach, but how to lead with compassion, kindness, and care for each child.

Even though I come from a different faith background and am not a Christian, I have seen the love of God in the lives and hearts of those I work with. Their genuine care and faith have deeply impacted me and helped me grow both personally and spiritually.

I am also a mother to a young son who has recently started school. As I continue to serve in this meaningful role, I am facing financial challenges in meeting basic needs like school fees, food, and daily expenses for my child and myself.

and I am 18 years old. I started my journey at Arise N Shine Preschool last year as a volunteer, simply coming in to observe and learn how the school works and how to help with the children. I had no background in education and didn’t know English. I was shy, uncertain, and limited by cultural barriers from my Hindu background that made it hard for me to talk openly or express myself—especially in English.

But everything started changing when I was offered the opportunity to become an assistant teacher this year. Even though I still struggle, the teachers, leaders, and staff at the preschool have been helping me every step of the way. I am now able to speak a little English, and I’m learning more every day. More than that, I’m growing in confidence.

Through the love and support I’ve received, I’ve also come to love Jesus. I want to believe and follow Him, but I struggle with fear—fear of my family’s reaction and the opinions of people around me. I know God is working in my heart, and I pray for courage to stand in faith one day.

I work at Arise N Shine Preschool as a janitor. I help with cleaning the school, maintaining the environment, and preparing food for the children. I feel so thankful and honored to serve in such a loving and peaceful place.

Before I joined the school, I was often unwell and felt weak both physically and emotionally. But after becoming part of this school family, I experienced something I never expected—healing through the prayers and love of the staff. I now live with peace and joy, and I am grateful to be part of such a supportive community.

Through my work at the school, my daughter also received the opportunity to work here as a teacher assistant. Together, we are learning, growing, and being blessed more than we imagined.

I am the mother of three children—two girls and one boy. I am doing my best to support them and give them a better future, especially in their education. But with limited income, it is difficult to meet all their needs.
